Problem Note 36420: A mixed-content warning might occur when you access SAS® 9.2 Web applications

DetailsAboutRate It

When you access SAS 9.2 Web applications via the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) HTTPS protocol, you might receive the following browser warning about mixed content.

      Mixed Content Warning

This warning can be false in that there is actually no mixed SSL and non-SSL content on the page. You can verify this by viewing the page source in the browser. All URL references in the page source should use the HTTPS protocol. If it does not use this protocol, the problem might be a configuration issue. For details on configuring SSL for SAS Web applications, see "Using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for Web Applications" in the SAS® 9.2 Intelligence Platform: Web Application Administration Guide.

This warning can be generated when you open an information map for viewing in the SAS Visual Data Explorer and you then invoke the Filter dialog box. The warning also occurs in SAS® Web Report Studio in the following situations:
  • You open a new report via either of the following selections:
    • New report
    • New using Report Wizard
    • New using Template ...
  • You open an existing report from the File menu.
  • You open and close the Select Data dialog in the normal SAS Web Report Studio pane. That is, the warning appears upon invocation of the dialog box and again upon closing of the dialog box.
